To adapt to the times we are now live on opensea.io selling digital art to fund rewilding projects. This is new technology to us and we're very excited!
What is an NFT
In layman's terms NFTs transform digital art works into a one-of-a-kind collectables that can be traded digitally, exactly like physical artwork. Like the Mona Lisa is unique real-world object and might have reproductions or replicas, an NFT or 'non-fungible token' is a unique digital art piece which cannot be altered. Like real world objects, this makes these art works collectible assets. Importantly, this means that these digital collectibles hold value, can be resold and considered as an investment.
Why sell NFTs
As technology advances we want to keep up to make sure we're creating revenue streams to fund projects. NFT marketplaces such as Opensea allow us and other artists to reach a broad audience.
The payoff of this digital medium has been huge for many artists, musicians, influencers and digital creators, with investors spending huge sums to own NFT versions of digital images. Twitters Jack Dorsey's first tweet is currently worth $2.5 million, while video clips of sports such as a slam dunk sold for over $200,000. While we don't expect so sell put photography for these sums, we see the opportunity presented at this time.
Example of an NFT
Our digital artwork is NFT Photography from the natural world and landscape we hope to restore. All images have been captured by Chieftaintrees in the field and are entirely unique. An example can be seen below, an image of Swallow Falls in Snowdonia, Wales.
