Chieftaintrees NFT marketplace live on

To adapt to the times we are now live on selling digital art to fund rewilding projects as part of our images to oaks program. This is new technology to us and we're very excited!

What is an NFT

In layman's terms NFTs transform digital art style pictures into a one-of-a-kind asset that can be traded digitally. Like the Mona Lisa has many replicas, an NFT or 'non-fungible token' can be copied but there is a record of the original art piece which cannot be altered and makes it a collectible digital asset.

Why sell NFTs

As technology advances we want to keep up to make sure we're creating revenue streams to fund projects. NFT marketplaces such as Opensea allow us and other artists to reach a broad audience.

The payoff of this digital medium has been huge for many artists, musicians, influencers and digital creators, with investors spending huge sums to own NFT versions of digital images. Twitters Jack Dorsey's first tweet is currently worth $2.5 million, while video clips of sports such as a slam dunk sold for over $200,000. While we don't expect so sell put photography for these sums, we see the opportunity presented at this time/

How to buy NFT

To purchase an NFT you will need a digital cryptocurrency wallet and currency such as etherium. Some marketplaces charge a "gas" fee, which is the energy required to complete the transaction on the blockchain, watch out for these when considering your purchase. Other fees can include the costs for converting dollars into ethereum and closing expenses.
We recommend only those we are familiar with cryptocurrency to get involved with NFT marketplaces at this time. For the initiated, why not get you own Chieftaintrees NFT or make your own at opensea, which you can do using our referral link.
