Powerscourt Waterfall

Powerscourt waterfall is located in the beautiful parkland of the Powerscourt Estate in Enniskerry, in the Wicklow mountains. The Powerscourt waterfall is one of Ireland's most popular tourist attractions and one of the most photographed waterfalls in the country. The waterfall is also a popular filming location for movies such as "The Secret Garden", "Waking Ned Devine", and "Excalibur".

The waterfall is a beautiful, natural waterfall and the highest in Ireland. Also known as Enniskerry waterfall, the falls are surrounded by the Powerscourt Estate, which is a family-owned estate that has been in operation since 1735, and home to the powerscourt hotel and spa. The waterfall is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ireland and a large tourist attraction on the grounds of an 18th-century estate, which was built for the first Earl of Pembroke and his wife Elizabeth.

The Powerscourt Waterfall walk starts from the car park at the top of the hill on which the house stands and takes you down to a bridge crossing over to an island with two lakes at its centre.  It's an easy walk that takes visitors through woodland, past the ruins of an old mill and across a bridge to the base of the falls. Visitors can then take a steep climb to see more of the falls before returning to their starting point via a different route.
